As a digital and social media presence has become part of on-air personalities’ brands, the stations I’ve worked at have prioritized content creation and encouraged integrating our digital presences into our on-air shifts.
During my five and a half years at WYRK in Buffalo, N.Y., I created more than 2,300 original pieces of content for the station’s website. Among the personalities at Townsquare Media’s four local radio stations, I ranked second in terms of unique pageviews during that time, garnering 14 percent of the market’s total UPVs. You can find my stories from that time at WYRK.com.
While at WYRK, I also served as a correspondent for all of Townsquare Media’s local country stations and its nationally syndication night show, Taste of Country Nights, at the 2018 ACM and CMA Awards. My interviews from those events became stories on Townsquare’s two national country music websites, The Boot and Taste of Country. You can find my stories from those events on TheBoot.com.
My latest job was as Director of Professional Development at Medaille College. I was hired to help create and implement a new digital platform for alumni engagement. In under a year, I launched Life Well Learned, a platform including both a podcast and website that delivered both professional and personal development using the college’s faculty, alumni, and community partners. In its inaugural season the podcast, which I hosted and produced, had over 2,000 streams as well as over 3,000 users to the website with 7,000 plus page views.
