Ingredients
- 1 loaf sourdough or hard bread I use Wegman’s Garlic Tucson
- 1 stick butter
- 1 tsp parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1 bag mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 350 and chop parsley. Melt butter, garlic, parmesan, and salt together in a bowl. Then mix in the parsley with the butter mixture.
- Next, take the bread and cut diagonally deep but not all the way through. Then turn the bread and cut again and in a criss-cross pattern.
- Take the cheese and place in between the rows and pour a little bit of the butter mixture on top. You’ll want to do this for all the rows making sure to get into the crevices.
- Wrap the bread in aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove from oven and uncover bread and place back in the oven for 10 more minutes.
- Pull out, let cool, and then dig in! It makes the perfect snack or appetizer! Feel free to mix it up and add pepperoni or other favorite treats!
