Keyword: Bread, Cheese, garlic
Servings: 8
- 1 loaf sourdough or hard bread I use Wegman's Garlic Tucson
- 1 stick butter
- 1 tsp parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1 bag mozzarella cheese
Pre-heat oven to 350 and chop parsley. Melt butter, garlic, parmesan, and salt together in a bowl. Then mix in the parsley with the butter mixture.
Next, take the bread and cut diagonally deep but not all the way through. Then turn the bread and cut again and in a criss-cross pattern.
Take the cheese and place in between the rows and pour a little bit of the butter mixture on top. You'll want to do this for all the rows making sure to get into the crevices.
Wrap the bread in aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
Remove from oven and uncover bread and place back in the oven for 10 more minutes.
Pull out, let cool, and then dig in! It makes the perfect snack or appetizer! Feel free to mix it up and add pepperoni or other favorite treats!
