Liz's Kitchen: Aunt Karen's Chicken Casserole Recipe

Ingredients

  • 6 breasts chicken
  • 2 cups swiss cheese
  • 2 cans cream of chicken
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 2 sticks melted butter
  • 1 bag Pepperidge Farm Stuffing

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350.  Take your chicken and cut them up into cubes. Mix cream of chicken and water in a large bowl, then mix in cheese and chicken.
  • Pour the chicken mixture into a greased 9x13.
  • Take the melted butter and mix with the bag of stuffing. Pour the stuffing over the chicken, evenly covering the casserole dish. 
  • Cover and cook the casserole for an hour and fifteen minutes. Remove the foil and cook for 15 minutes more to let the stuffing brown up. 
  • Remove from the oven and let cool. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

The original recipe doesn't call for it but adding about a tablespoon of pepper to the chicken mixture before you pour it into the casserole dish really helps!
